Primary Care Co-Designer, Thailand

Independent contractor or institutional secondmentRoughly 25 to 30 daysOctober to December 2026Bangkok or remote

TechChange is building a skills-first, non-clinical AI curriculum and handbook for Thailand's model primary care units, with the Ministry of Public Health and international partners. You will make sure it is grounded in how primary care teams actually work. You co-design alongside TechChange's learning design lead from the first week and carry the Thai content.

What you will do

  • Co-design the curriculum: shape the examples, exercises and language so they reflect real administrative workloads in primary care units under the Primary Health System Act
  • Localize the capability menu into Thai and the vocabulary of primary care administration
  • Lead workflow shortlisting with participating units, drawing on the October survey and pre-workshop sessions
  • Help prepare the non-sensitive exercise materials used in the workshop
  • Review the Thai and English handbook for accuracy, register and fit with Ministry practice
  • Advise the facilitator team on primary care context during the workshop and follow-on sessions
  • Contribute to the pilot report on what the teams found useful and what did not fit

What we are looking for

  • Direct experience in Thai primary care, as a clinician, administrator or in a supporting division, ideally within the Ministry system
  • Working knowledge of the administrative load on primary care teams: accreditation reporting, performance coding, rostering, fund management, referral paperwork, community health education
  • Fully bilingual Thai and English
  • Experience with training, curriculum or adult learning, or a strong interest and the judgment to work with a learning designer
  • Comfortable using current AI tools yourself. Expertise is not required; honesty about where you are is

Helpful but not required

  • Family medicine background
  • Experience with the model primary care unit or 9-doctor team programs
  • Academic affiliation

Time and terms

  • Roughly 25 to 30 days across October to December 2026, weighted to October and early November
  • Daily rate commensurate with experience; contractor agreement with TechChange
  • Secondment is welcome from universities and training institutes, with the employer's written approval. Retired Ministry or NHSO administrators are also a strong fit. If you would nominate a colleague or propose your institution, use the form and tell us
  • The curriculum and handbook will be owned by the Ministry of Public Health and openly licensed, so contributions are made on that basis
  • This is a design role, not a clinical one. The program is non-clinical throughout

We would like this person in place by mid-October so co-design can begin alongside the Ministry working group.
